Abstract

Introduction: The offer and demand of Health Services is conditioned by social and structural changes. Primary Health Care Services have a fundamental role in a local Work Health Promotion policy. The current problem: the prevalence of work diseases and work accidents are numerous and reflects differently in distinct workers and consequently in Health Services. The Services' Role: Public Health Services, General Practice Services and Work Health Services must explore and develop their role in the implementation of local work health promotion programs in the working place. Conclusions: A coordinated approach of distinct professionals will create the means to promote health and well-being in the working place.
