Isolamento social e solidão dos idosos em tempo de COVID-19

As medidas de distanciamento social impostas foram extremamente importantes para controlar a propagação da COVID-19. No entanto, vieram agravar o isolamento social e a solidão, problemática especialmente importante na população idosa. Realizou-se uma revisão das consequências do isolamento e da solidão na população idosa e de que modo os cuidados de saúde se devem preparar para conseguir contornar este desafio. Aqui, o médico de família assume um papel essencial, pela sua proximidade da população.
