Prevention of accidents at school

Injuries, injuries and accidental injuries are in childhood and adolescence the leading cause of death in most countries. In turn, one of the places where there is a high proportion of accidents is the school, so that, in recent years, has been given some attention to accidents at school. It emphasizes the idea of overriding importance of the capacity of school health intervention in preventing this scourge. However, for this intervention to have an effect, it is essential to establish an effective interconnection between teams of school health, school and surrounding community. It is essential to work in partnership between health and education in order to jointly develop accident prevention programs in schools, with the aim of promoting safety education and training of education professionals (teachers and assistants educational action). The intervention strategy should be phased in over time and a place in coordination with other partners, with the aim of trying to identify and control hazards in order to prevent major accidents or potentially serious.Downloads
