Neuro-imaging in epilepsy

We discuss the role of neuroimaging in epilepsy research from the perspective of a neurologist hospital pleading with the family doctor. Can assess whether different brain anatomical structures and their correlation with functional aspects. On the evaluation of structural brain discusses the indications and advantages of MRI and CT. Briefly present the techniques of neuro-functional imaging: PET, SPECT, and MRS SISCOM. It is intended that the consensus on imaging investigation of epilepsies presented here enable better and more adequate articulation between physicians who treat these patients.Downloads
