Diabetes, one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in our country, a problem that will worsen over the next decade due to an aging population and the gradual changes in lifestyle. Several factors inherent to changes in lifestyle communities contribute to the early development and accelerated atherosclerosis (excess weight, inactivity) promoting early cardiovascular disease, so all efforts are required to, according to the medical evidence exists, prevent diabetes in high-risk groups and to treat those who suffer from it, adjusting the energy intake with your regular spending. In consultation or community health workers can promote healthy lifestyles using the strategies necessary (information, discussion and continuous motivation) and keeping them appropriate to each situation.Downloads
