Recommendations for drug treatment of pain

In Family Medicine pain is an everyday problem, cutting across all ages, generator suffering, being a level necessary to provide high quality care, whether it is acute or chronic pain, cancer or no cancer. The global knowledge that the GP (MF) vai building with his sick makes it a privileged care provider for proper handling of therapeutic techniques. The methodology used in the review process consisted of a manual literature search in text books, scientific papers and circulars normative. The main references for the doses of the drugs were http://www.palliativedrugs.com site and book Oxford Handbook of Palliative Care. The formulations were compiled in Portugal's Therapeutic Handbook Online INFARMED. The document was reviewed by experts in the field and obtained the scientific sponsorship of the Portuguese Association of Palliative Care. A document with trade names is available at the core of Palliative Care APMCG. The Center for Palliative Care APMCG want with these recommendations, systematize concepts about pain therapy and present them concisely, so that they can be handled in consultation with each daily MF.Downloads
