Abstract

Objective: To summarize, briefly, the PHEPA Project (Primary Health European Project on Alcohol) and to describe the most important objectives of the Project. Conclusions: Alcohol increases the risk of a wide range of conditions and Primary Health Care is the setting where an important intervention should exist. The PHEPA Project can facilitate the dissemination of early identification and brief intervention among primary health care with an specific training program and specific materials that helps to do this work in reducing hazardous and harmful alcohol consumption.
