Abstract

The concept of Congenital Hip Displasia (CHD) has been gradually replaced by the one of Developmental Displasia of the HIP (DDH). The importance of this evolution mainly concerns the notion of the acetabular disease and its capacity of physically containing the femural head. The authors present some practical notions concerning the semiology of this entity and also a rational approach on complementary diagnostic tools and the needs of referral to Paediatric Orthopaedic consultation.
