Humans have a specific neurodevelopment that correlates with brain development during its evolution as a species. This article will review the developmental risk factors, both genetic and environmental, and their relationship as modulating factors for the final phenotypic expression.The concept of normal quantitative and qualitative development will be defined, as well as the developmental sequences within each of its areas. The key concepts of each developmental disability will be summarised.Downloads
