Complexity can play an important role in health care services. In this paper we explore concepts and applications of complexity theory to address the challenges of Health Care Networks. Knowing how to deal with diversity and uncertainty in daily work, and knowing how to exploit new ideas that emerge from daily problem solving can actually contribute towards the processes of innovation and quality improvement. In this contex, we propose new ways to increase the participation of the citizens in health care and the use of information technologies aimed at helping the spread of a new pardigm of heath care services closer to the public.Downloads
