Estudantes de Medicina como colaboradores na investigação em Centros de Saúde

A investigação em Medicina Geral e Familiar (MGF) é reconhecidamente importante. Na agenda de investigação em MGF os estudos observacionais podem ser muito úteis. Tradicionalmente a investigação observacional tem-se baseado em registos, sendo frequentemente discutidas as várias limitações dos mesmos. Um dos obstáculos à investigação observacional em MGF é a privacidade da consulta, além de que para o Médico de Família (MF) não é fácil investigar ao mesmo tempo que consulta. Apresenta-se assim uma metodologia descrita como gold-standard em estudos sobre o conteúdo das profissões, que se baseia no recurso a observadores externos, técnica denominada de tempo-e-movimento. Mostra-se a sua aplicabilidade prática num estudo pioneiro realizado sobre os MF portugueses e que envolveu os estudantes de medicina como colaboradores na colheita dos dados durante a consulta. Colaborar permite aos alunos o contacto precoce com a investigação em MGF e com uma metodologia inovadora.
